About this tool
Add a photo or screenshot containing a QR code and press Scan. The image is analysed in your browser (jsQR), trying the original size, a downscaled copy and an inverted copy for dark-mode screenshots. The decoded content is shown and saved as a text file.
Useful when the code is on your own screen (you cannot point a phone at itself) or in an email.
How it works
- Step 1. Choose or drop the image with the QR code.
- Step 2. Press Scan QR.
- Step 3. Read the content in the note or download qr-content.txt.
Questions
It says no QR code found — why?
The code may be too small, blurred or cut off. Crop closer to the code or use a sharper image; codes under ~100 px wide are hard to read.
Does it open links automatically?
No — you see the content first and decide. Nothing is fetched.
Can it read barcodes?
QR codes only.
Good to know
- QR only (no 1-D barcodes).
