About this tool
Photos carry EXIF data: GPS coordinates, camera model, date, sometimes a thumbnail of the uncropped original. This tool re-encodes each image on your device, which drops every metadata block, while applying the orientation first so the photo does not turn sideways. JPEGs are re-saved at quality 92; PNG and WebP stay lossless.
Nothing is uploaded — which is the point of a privacy tool.
How it works
- Step 1. Choose or drop the photos.
- Step 2. Press Remove metadata.
- Step 3. Download <name>-clean files.
Questions
Does it reduce image quality?
JPEGs are re-encoded once at quality 92 (visually identical); PNG/WebP are lossless.
Does it remove the colour profile?
Yes — all metadata including ICC profiles is removed; colours render as sRGB.
Can I check what was in the file first?
Use File info: it lists dimensions and DPI; the EXIF is simply gone after this tool.
