About this tool
Rows and columns are detected from the positions of the text on each page: lines become rows, consistent gaps become columns, and values that look like numbers are stored as numbers so formulas work immediately. Choose an .xlsx with one sheet per page, CSV files, or both. Bank statements, price lists and report tables are typical uses.
Perfect-fidelity extraction from complex merged-cell tables is still a commercial-tool job (see the ranked converters); for regular grids this is quick and private.
How it works
- Step 1. Choose or drop the PDF(s).
- Step 2. Pick xlsx, csv or both, and tables-only or all text.
- Step 3. Press Convert and open the workbook.
Questions
My table came out as one column — why?
Columns are detected from horizontal gaps; very tight tables may need the "all text" mode or a quick split in Excel. Scanned PDFs need OCR first.
Are formulas recreated?
No — values only. Numbers are numeric cells so you can add your own formulas.
Does it handle multiple tables on a page?
Yes; they appear one after another on that page's sheet with a blank row between.
Good to know
- Merged cells and nested headers are simplified.
- Needs a text layer (OCR scans first).
