About this tool
Choose the preset — Indian passport/visa (2×2 inch, 600×600 px at 300 DPI, as required by Passport Seva and many visa portals), US passport, UK/EU/Schengen 35×45 mm, 25×35 mm ID photos or custom pixels — then adjust zoom and vertical position. The tool checks that the background is plain and light, writes a JPEG with the 300 DPI tag that portals look for, optionally keeps it under a size limit such as 50 KB, and can produce a 4×6 inch or A4 print sheet with cut lines.
The photo never leaves your phone, which is exactly what you want for an identity document.
How it works
- Step 1. Choose or take a head-and-shoulders photo against a plain wall.
- Step 2. Pick the preset, zoom and position; set a KB limit if a portal demands one.
- Step 3. Press Make photo; download the JPG and/or print sheet PDF.
Questions
What size does an Indian passport photo need?
2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm); for online applications 600 × 600 px at 300 DPI, JPEG, often under 50 KB — the India preset produces exactly that.
Does it remove the background?
No. It warns if the background is not plain and light; take the photo against a white or light wall.
How many photos on a sheet?
Six 2×2 inch photos on a 4×6 print; eight 35×45 mm photos on A4, with light cut lines.
Good to know
- No background replacement.
- Face position is manual (zoom and vertical offset).
