About this tool
Choose where the number goes (bottom centre, bottom right, top left…), the style (1, 2, 3 — 1 / 12 — Page 1 of 12) and the first number, then press Add page numbers. Numbers are drawn in Helvetica at 10 pt with a 1 cm margin and follow each page's rotation, so sideways pages are numbered correctly too.
Nothing else in the file changes, and nothing is uploaded.
How it works
- Step 1. Choose or drop the PDF(s).
- Step 2. Pick position, style, start number and optionally a page range.
- Step 3. Press Add page numbers and download <name>-numbered.pdf.
Questions
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes: set Pages to 2- and Start at to 1 so numbering begins on the second page with 1.
Can I change the font or size?
Not in this version — numbers use Helvetica 10 pt in dark grey, which prints cleanly on any page.
Will numbers overlap existing footers?
They are placed 1 cm from the edge; if your document already has text there, choose a different position such as top right.
Good to know
- One font and size.
- No Roman numerals or custom text yet.
